having your own private fishing charter means you'll have easy access to all the best spots on Tioman: the main village at Tekek where the airport & international marina is located, Salang Village with its bars and restaurants and great party atmosphere, not to mention the many ‘picture postcard' islands not often frequented by tourists or locals without the benefit of their own personal charter/boat.
Bluesails Sportfishing is offering fishing charters based out of Pulau Tioman during the summer months of (May through August) at SGD890 per boat, per day for up to 4 guests onboard, for ideally 3 days booking (but 2 days min) to allow sufficient time to cover more major fishing grounds & islands for snorkelling. The price does not include transport, room/board, however contact information & recommendations are provided upon request. Travel insurance is recommended.
The meeting point for the daily fishing charter is at the marina on Pulau Tioman. Flights &/or ferry ( if available ) fr Singapore, Kuala Lumpur & Mersing are arranged at your own discretion & expense. Charters usually start & end in Kuala Rompin with overnight stays on Tioman Island, but for fishos making their own way to Tioman, charters start & end at Tioman marina.
For guests staying at Tekket village, our 2 suggestions are (Cheers Chalet & Tioman Cabana). Direct pick-up & drop-off for the day's fishing, & evening outings to Salang Village can be arranged from the resorts jetties or marina. However, for guests staying at any other resort - arrangements will need to be made on your own for water-taxi transfers to the marina each day.
Complimentary local lunch boxes, snacks & beer are included daily, & if you’re lucky you might get to try our signature onboard Mahi sashimi, or a banana leaf bbq dinner with your catch of the day at Salang Beach or your resort's restaurant.
Alternatively, you can bring along a cooler box of your own steaks or choice meats (with the exception of pork) & have the restaurant fire up a bbq. Pulau Tioman is also a duty-free island, so you can enjoy a wide selection of duty free alcohol available at Salang & Tekket Village (own expense).
